Ⅰ. Starting from today, the Embassy of China in Liberia accepts visa applications for long-term study visa (X1) for academic degree education in China. The visa application procedures and material requirements are as follows:

A. Fill out the visa application form online (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn), print out the confirmation page and form, and sign the confirmation page and item 9 of the form.

B. Make an appointment online to submit the application (https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn) and print out the visa appointment confirmation form.

C. Submit the application in person at the Chinese embassy at the appointment time and retain ten fingerprints.

D. Application Materials:

 a. Application form completed online (print-out of the full form) and the visa appointment confirmation form;

 b. Original passport and a copy of the information page;

 c. Admission letter, JW201/202 form.

 d. Health certificate, Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination;

 e. No criminal record.

II. Visa applications for non-academic education and any other types of short term study in China are temporarily suspended.

Ⅲ. From August 24, those who hold valid APEC business travel cards and valid residence permits for study will be allowed to enter China.
