With a view to improving Sino-Liberian cultural exchanges and under the invitation of Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Liberia, a cultural troupe dispatched by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic China is scheduled to visit Liberia between Sep.28-Oct.3, 2007.

During their stay in Liberia, the artists will perform acrobatics, traditional Chinese music and the Festive Drum and Lantern, which is a typical and traditional form of Chinese art and has a history of over one thousand years. The Festive Drum and Lantern is a combination of dance, music and lantern songs. It is widely welcomed both in China and abroad for its passionate and graceful style.

Four performances will be staged in Liberia. The first will be given at the National Day Reception held by the Chinese Embassy on Saturday, Sep.29 at the SKD Stadium, the second on the Providence Island in Monrovia on Sunday, Sep.30, the third in Buchanan, Grand Bassa on Monday, Oct.1, and the fourth one will be given to entertain the UN peace keepers at Chinese Transport Contingent Barracks in Star Base on Tuesday, Oct.2.

7. Group Dance: The Big Drums in the central Plains

8. Huangmei Opera: The Emperor's female son-in-Law

9. Dance: Pretty Orchid

10. Acrobatic: Hula-hoop performance

11.Double Dance: The Pomegranate is ripe

12. Gongs and Drums Performance: The Cheerful Huaihe River
