H.E. Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao, when calling on the Liberian Minister of Land, Mines, and Energy H.E. Mr. Eugene H. Shannon on Monday, formally handed over the Survey Report on Mineral Resources in Promising Areas within Liberia done by the Chinese expert team for Liberia.

 

Both the Chinese Ambassador and the Liberian Minister indicated that they were pleased with the cooperation and exchanges in the field of land, mines and energy between the two countries and pledged to push them further.

 

Minister Shannon expressed his gratitude for the sincere aid by the Chinese government and promised to make a summary report to President Sirleaf after closely studying the survey report. Ambassador Zhou noted that Liberia, being rich in natural resources, has huge potential for development. The Ambassador assured the Minister that the Chinese government is willing to provide Liberia with all possible assistance within its ability, in energy and land utilization and natural resource development while encouraging credible and strong Chinese enterprises to invest in Liberia for mutual benefit.
