Chinese Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao Inspects China-aided and Investment Projects

Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Zhou Yuxiao inspected China-aided and investment projects in Bong and Margibi Counties and extended warm seasoned greetings to the Chinese experts, engineers and investors.

 

 

At the China-aided Tubman Military Barracks Project in Gbarnga, Bong County, Amb. Zhou examined the existing structures and surveyed the whole area. After listening the report on the project schedule, he cautioned the engineering team to make proper preparations and take into consideration all possible difficulties, so as to ensure the quality and timeliness of the project. "You should not hesitate to ask for help from the Embassy once you encounter difficulties", said Amb. Zhou.

 

 

In the Booker Washington Institute in Kakata, Margibi County, the Chinese Agricultural Expert Team briefed the Ambassador on the promotion of hybrid rice in Liberia. When learning that the average output of the field near the residence of President Sirleaf reached nearly 6,000 pounds per acre, Amb. Zhou thanked the experts for their hard work, saying that the success of the planting is a big encouragement for Liberia's agriculture development. He also urged the experts to work on new channels and means of bilateral agricultural cooperation, so that China's agricultural technology can benefit more Liberian people in the shortest time. The embassy will facilitate the improvement of their working and living conditions, promised Amb. Zhou.

 

 

In the Hong Kong-invested M.L.Lee Rubber Factory, Amb. Zhou inspected the on-building workshops and the development agenda of factory. He commended the M.L.Lee Group of Companies for its persistent efforts in developing Africa's manufacturing industries. He expressed his confidence that once the factory begins its operation, more local workers will get employment. More importantly, Liberia will enter a new era when it can made rubber products with its abundant rubber resources for the time in history. He promised the support of the Embassy to all Chinese investments in Liberia, no matter they are from Mainland, Hong Kong or Taiwan.
