Minister Toe, on behalf of the Liberian Government, expressed its deep appreciation to the Chinese Government for giving valuable assistance to Liberia's post-war reconstruction, especially in agriculture sector, with a view of teaching the local people how to fish. He pointed out that, once being established, the Center will enable the local farmers to master modern farming technology, which is of great importance in helping Liberians achieving the goal self-sufficiency in food.

The Center is located in the Central Agriculture Research Institute in Suakoko, Bong County with an area of 36.2 hectares and estimated construction cost of 40million Yuan RMB. The functions of the Center will focus on experimental research, technical training and sustainable development.
