Liberian Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Extols China-Aid

Monrovia Liberia-Liberian Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Saturday visited the Fendell Campus Construction Project of the University of Liberia, a China-aid program in the education field to the postwar Liberia.

Accompanied by Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. ZHOU Yuxiao, the Vice President was impressed by the massive erection of functioning buildings within the campus and as so the enormaous positive changes brought by the undertaking Chinese Contrctor of the Fendell Campus Project for their speedy and qualified deliveries of the promise made by the Chinese Government.

Extolling the partnership and friendship between Liberia and China in his following interview with the local jornalists, the Liberian Vice President observed that, the construction of the modern facility by the Chinese Government demonstrated the value of the partnership the Government and people of Liberia share with their counterparts, while he also commended Chinese Embassy in Liberia for its quick response in bringing the China-aid project into reality within a very short timeframe, which has been clearly becoming another impetus towards Liberia's reconstruction agenda and surely will encourage numerous Liberian youth in the pursuits of their higher educations and benefit tremendously the future of Liberia.

Chinese Ambassador ZHOU Yuxiao on his part expressed his appreciation towards Vice President's pleasant apperance in the China-aid project, which, according to the senior diplomat's words, shows the good cooperation between the Chinese and Liberian Government in their endeavor in bringing the benefits of the excellent bilateral relationship to the general public in a speedy and efficient way.

Upon his departure, Vice President Joseph Boakai presented two local goats to the Chinese contractor as an expression of his personal appreciation towards their goodwork.
