Liberian President Impressed with China Aid Implementation Speed

Monrovia Liberia, March 8,2010-Lberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has observed that the implementation of China-aid Tappita Hospital and Agriculture Technology Demonstration Center in Liberia showcased the speedy implementation of China aid projects, which according to her words, China speed. The Liberian President made such assertion when she visited China-aid Tappita Hospital Project in Nimba County and CARI Agriculture Technology Demonstration Center Project in Bong County respectively from March 5 to 6.

On her way back to capital Monrovia from the cabinet retreat held in Grand Gedeh County, accompanied by Chinese Ambassador ZHOU Yuxiao and a team of cabinet ministers, President Sirleaf made her tour of the two China-aid projects. President Sirleaf expressed appreciation and gratefulness towards Chinese government and engineers for their speedy implementation of China-aid projects in helping fufilling her promises made during her 2005 election campaign. President Sirleaf also noted that the hospital and agriculture oriented projects may have a great significance to the betterment of the health and wellbeing of Liberian especially to the local residents.

Both China-aid projects are to be completed and handed over to Liberian Government before July, 2010. It can be recalled that the two projects had their groundbreakings last January and April.
