Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Meets With Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair

Monrovia, Liberia, November 19, 2010: Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Mr. Zhou Yuxiao on Friday met with the visiting Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair who came to Monrovia for inspection of the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative (AGI) program in Liberia. During the meeting, Ambassador Zhou and the former British Prime Minister exchanged views on Liberia's current urgent needs in the areas of infrastructures such as road, health and electricity etc.. The visiting former Prime Minister intoned his intention to facilitate the Liberian Government's endeavor in its prioritizing of the development agenda with the international stakeholders' assistance programs, by utilizing the coordinating function of the AGI's Liberia Program.
The AGI Liberia Program's 5 persons team is now working in the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, Liberia, with a view of improving the governance capacity within the Government of Liberia.
