Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng pays courtesy calls to Hon. Albert T. Chie President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate and meets other senior officials of the Liberian government

Recently, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng has paid a courtesy call on the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Hon. Albert T. Chie, Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Hon. Mulbah Morlu, and Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr.

When meeting with the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Hon. Albert T. Chie, Ambassador Ren conveyed to him the cordial greetings and best wishes of H.E. Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and H.E. Wang Yang, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He highly appreciated that the Senate and Chie himself have long supported the development of bilateral relations and always adhered to the One-China policy, and said that China is willing to work with Liberia to deepen political mutual trust, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields including the legislative bodies of the two countries, and promote more fruitful cooperation between China and Liberia. Ambassador Ren also presented Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume III) to Hon. Albert T. Chie.

Hon. Albert T. Chie asked Ambassador Ren to convey his sincere thanks and cordial greetings to Chairman Li Zhanshu and Chairman Wang Yang and thanked China for its warm hospitality during his visit to China last year, welcomed Ambassador Ren to take up his new post in Liberia, and sincerely thanked China for its great contribution to Liberia's post-war reconstruction process. He emphasized that Liberia respects China's sovereignty and firmly adheres to the One-China principle, and Liberia looks forward to making joint efforts with China to further strengthen the communication between the legislative bodies.

When meeting with the Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Hon. Mulbah Morlu, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening inter-party exchanges between the two countries, sharing experience in governing the country and promoting Sino-Liberian cooperation.

When meeting with Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the field of information and communication and upgrading the communication technology level and service capacity of the two countries.
