Recently， Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng paid  a courtesy call on the Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, Hon. Ledgerhood J. Rennie and met with Minister of Labor,Hon. Cllr. Charles Gibson and Mr. Moibah Keller Johnson, the president of Civil Servant Association of Liberia respectively.

During the meeting with Hon. Ledgerhood J. Rennie, the two sides had a friendly exchange of views on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. Ambassador Ren said that China has always supported the consolidation of peace and stability and promoted the post-war reconstruction process. Liberia is rich in tourism and natural resources and has great potential for development. China is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Liberia in infrastructure construction and other fields to promote the continuous development of bilateral relations. Minister Rennie thanked China for its important contribution to peace, stability and economic and social development of Liberia, and said that Liberian side hopes to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in tourism, infrastructure and human resources development to promote better economic development.

During the meeting with Hon. Cllr. Charles Gibson, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening infrastructure and agricultural cooperation between the two countries, promoting employment for the benefit of the people, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and individuals in investment and business.

During the meeting with Mr. Moibah Keller Johnson, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in human resources training and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
