On November 12th, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng, met with H.E. Mr. Bhofal Chambers, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Liberia, the two sides had an extensive exchange of views on relations and cooperation of China-Liberia in various fields.

Ambassador Ren indicated that facing with the COVID-19 epidemic this year, the two governments and peoples of China and Liberia have always supported each other and overcome difficulties together, which reflects the fraternal friendship between the two sides. It is highly appreciated that the Parliament of Liberia confirmed Liberia’s postion of adhering to the One-China Principle through legislation. China is willing to continue to follow the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith and the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, and further expand and deepen the pragmatic and friendly cooperation between China and Liberia in various fields.

H.E. Mr. Bhofal Chambers thanked China for its important contribution to economic and social development of Liberia, praised China as a reliable friend and sincere partner of Liberia, and reiterated that Liberia will continue to abide by the One-China Policy, continue to maintain close cooperation with China, and work together to promote a steady and sustained growth of comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries.

After the meeting, on behalf of the Chinese government, Ambassador Ren donated a batch of Anti-epidemic materials to the  Parliament of Liberia.
