Recently, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia donated masks, disinfectant, rice and cooking oil among other anti-epidemic materials to the Liberian Presidential Office, the Vice Presidential Office, the Parliament, government departments such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other social sectors such as the media, think tanks and non-governmental organizations.

Ambassador Ren Yisheng and others indicated in the handover activities that this year, facing the worst epidemic of infectious diseases in the world over the past 100 years, President Xi Jinping and African leaders jointly held the Extraordinary Summit on China-Africa Solidarity Against the COVID-19 Epidemic, which pointed out the direction for joint efforts to fight epidemic diseases and injected new impetus into China-Africa cooperation. China and Liberia have always looked out for each other and shared weal and woe. China thanks Liberia for its valuable support to China's fight against the epidemic. At present, the COVID-19 epidemic is still raging all over the world, and the anti-epidemic situation in Liberia is still grim. China is willing to continue to provide assistance within its capacity, and strengthen cooperation with Liberia in the field of health, hoping to play a positive role in promoting Liberia’s economic and social development after the epidemic. In the future, China will continue to implement the outcome of the Extraordinary Summit on China-Africa Solidarity Against the COVID-19 Epidemic, and promote the deepening of China-Liberia pragmatic cooperation.
Relevant Liberian leadership and government departments said that the spread of the COVID-19 has had a serious impact on the economy, society and people's lives. Since the outbreak occurred in Liberia, China has provided material donations and shared anti-epidemic experience on many occasions.
