Recently, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng, at the invitation of the Liberian Foreign Minister H.E. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, visited the printing workshop of Liberian Foreign Ministry and Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS). The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the areas of broadcasting, press and publication. Liberian Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Hon. Ledgerhood J. Rennie, Deputy Foreign Minister Kovah and Assistant Foreign Minister Grey, and Director General of LBS Kemoh participated in the event respectively.

Foreign Minister Kemayah and Information Minister Rennie introduced the relevant situation of the Liberian Foreign Ministry and LBS. While commending China's contribution to the development of Liberia's various fields including broadcasting in recent years, they stressed that the friendly and practical cooperation between Liberia and China is of vital importance to the development of Liberia and has brought tangible benefits to the people of Liberia. They hoped that China will further support Liberia's economic and social development.

Ambassador Ren said that the traditional friendship between China and Liberia has lasted timelessly, and the cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation(FOCAC) has yielded fruitful results. China will continue to uphold the concept of sincerity, practical result, affinity and good faith and provide support for Liberia's peace and development within its capacity. The Chinese Embassy in Liberia is willing to work closely with Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and LBS to promote the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Liberia to a new level.
