Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets with Liberian Ambassador to China and others

On February 16, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng metwith Liberian ambassador to China H.E. D Mckinley Thomas who was back to Liberia on leave. The two sides exchanged views on China-Liberia relations and bilateral cooperation.

 

Ambassador Thomas said that China has achieved comprehensive and rapid development in recent years. China's experience in governance, poverty alleviation, agriculture, and other fields is worth learning for African countries. China provides generous assistance to Liberia in various fields such as anti-epidemic, infrastructure construction, education, agriculture, and capacity building, and brings actual benefits to the country and its people. The Liberian Embassy in China hopes to strengthen communication and cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Liberia to jointly promote the development of China-Liberia relations and practical cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Ren said that in recent years, China-Africa and China-Liberia cooperation have enjoyed a strong momentum, and cooperation in various fields has achieved remarkable results. China will continue to firmly support Liberia's post-war peace reconstruction process, and is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with the Liberian side. It will encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest in Liberia, and promote win-win cooperation between the two sides.

 

On February 18, Ambassador Ren also met with French Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Michael Roux. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas such as public health, agriculture, communications, power and road infrastructure construction, human resource capacity building, and cultural exchanges in Liberia.
