Ambassador of China Ren Yisheng Meets Liberian Vice President

On February 19, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Liberian Vice President Madam Jewel Cianeh Taylor. The two sides exchanged views on enhancing China-Liberia relations and strengthening pragmatic cooperation in various fields.

 

Ambassador Ren welcomed Vice President Taylor's visit to the embassy during the Chinese New Year. He said that with the joint efforts of the two countries, China-Liberia cooperation has gained a strong momentum, and practical cooperation in various fields has achieved remarkable results in recent years. China will continue to provide what it can to promote the economic and social development of Liberia.

Vice President Taylor extended festive greetings and best wishes to Ambassador Ren, and through him to the Chinese government and people. She thanked China for its long-term important contribution to Liberia's economic and social development, and said that China has always been Liberia's most important friend and partner. She reiterated that Liberia will continue to firmly adhere to the One China policy. The Liberian side is willing to continue to deepen Liberia-China cooperation in the fields of political affairs, economy and trade, as well as protection of women, children, disabled people and other vulnerable groups and youth human resources construction, so as to promote the development of bilateral relations to a new level.
