Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets with President of Tubman University of Liberia and Others

Recently, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Mr. Elliot Wreh-Wilson, President of Tubman University, Mr. Josephus Moses Gray, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Liberia, and Mr. Siafa G. Sheriff, President of the Liberia-China Friendship Association.

                                       

During the meetings, Ambassador Ren highly commended the efforts made by Liberian education and civil society institutions in promoting the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and assured them of the embassy's continuous support in this regard. Ambassador Ren also introduced China's position and policies on Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang. 

                                       

President Wilson and others appreciated China's support to Liberia's peace-building, reconstruction and as well as the fights against Ebola and COVID-19. They reiterated their support to the One-China Policy and China's policies on Hong Kong and Xin Jiang.

                                       

The two sides also exchanged views on friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in the fields of cultural exchanges, vocational education, anti-epidemic, economy and trade, poverty reduction, agriculture, engineering technology and human resources training.
