Chinese Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets the President of Liberian Association of Chinese-Trained Scholars and Others

Recently, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met respectively with Mr. Clifton Garpeh, Jr., President of Liberian Association of Chinese-Trained Scholars (LACTS) and Mr. Jeddlee Stephens-Kinnii, National Coordinator of Liberian African Youth Peer Review Committee.

During the above meetings, Ambassador Ren commended the efforts made by Liberian non-governmental organizations to promote the friendship between China and Liberia, and reiterated that the Chinese Embassy will continue to support their work. Ambassador Ren also introduced the great achievements of the Communist Party of China in the past century and the exchanges and cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and trade, humanities and agriculture between China and Liberia.

Mr. Clifton and Mr. Kinnii thanked China for its long-term support for Liberia's economic and social development, youth capacity building, and the fight against Ebola and the Covid-19 epidemic. They reaffirmed that they will continue to serve as friendly envoys for Liberia-China friendship and make new contributions to promoting friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
