On August 10, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Laila O.Gad, Representative of UNICEF in Liberia, via video link.

Ambassador Ren highly appreciated UNICEF's efforts in fighting Covid-19 and protecting the welfare of the vulnerable children. He also actively evaluated their good cooperation with the Chinese side. He said that China is willing to continue to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with UNICEF in the face of the ever ravaging pandemic and jointly promote the development of children's cause.

Laila thanked the Chinese government for its long time support to UNICEF, and hoped to continue to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly fight COVID-19 and protect children's welfare.
