Recently, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met via vedio link with Hon. Cllr. T. Dempster Brown, Chairman of the Independent National Commission of Human Right in Liberia.

Ambassador Ren introduced China's people-centered concept of human rights, taking the realization of the right to subsistence and right to development as the primary task, and at the same time attaching importance to the promotion and protection of other rights of citizens. He highly appreciated the efforts made by the Liberian Human Rights Commission to promote the development of the human rights cause, and emphasized that China is willing to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with the Commission to provide support to Liberia's human rights cause within its capacity.

Chairman Brown thanked the Chinese government for its long-term help to the government and people of Liberia, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in protecting the rights and interests of women and children.
