On January 19, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Hon. Estelle Liberty Kemoh, Director General of Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) and Mr. Tepenty Young, Deputy Director General of LBS. 

Ambassador Ren said that in recent years, the pragmatic cooperation between China and Liberia in the fields of broadcasting and television has achieved fruitful results, and China has always firmly supported Liberia's development in various fields. In the face of the challenge of the COVID-19 epidemic, China has always stood side by side with Liberia to fight the epidemic and overcome the difficulties together. Ambassador Ren also briefed on the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the main outcome of the 6th Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), as well as China's remarkable development achievements in the fields of economy, people's livelihood, poverty reduction, environmental protection, human rights and other fields in 2021. He hoped that the Liberian side to work together with the Chinese side to push China-Liberia cooperation in various fields to a new level.

Director General Kemoh commended China's development achievements, and thanked China's aid projects for their great contribution to the development of Liberia's radio and television industry. In particular, China has overcome the adverse factors such as the Covid-19 epidemic and continued to promote new progress in cooperation with Liberia. She hoped that China will continue to provide support and assistance to Liberia in such aspects as radio station construction, technical cooperation and human resource development.
