Recently, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with H.E. Jarjar Kamara, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia and former Ambassador to China. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional situation and international and multilateral cooperation. 

Ambassador Ren briefed on the major achievements of the Communist Party of China (CPC) since its founding 100 years ago, the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the 6th Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, and the Beijing Winter Olympics. Ambassador Ren said that China and Liberia enjoy friendly relations and China regards Liberia as a good friend. In recent years, the pragmatic cooperation between China and Liberia has achieved remarkable results, which are obvious to all. It is expected that the Liberian side will work together with the Chinese side to push China-Liberia cooperation in various fields to a new level.

Acting Foreign Minister Kamara recalled his pleasant experience of being posted in China twice and the profound friendship he has forged with the Chinese people, highly praised China's development achievements and thanked China's aid projects for their great contribution to the economic and social development of developing countries including Liberia. He hoped that China will continue to provide support and assistance to Liberia in such areas as infrastructure, agriculture and human resources development. He is willing to make continuous efforts to promote the development of bilateral relations.

Acting Minister Kamara also recorded a video with pleasure to congratulate the Chinese people on the occasion of the Chinese  New Year and wish the Beijing Winter Olympics a success.
