On March 10, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E.Ren Yisheng met with Mr. Aliou Diongue, new Representative and Country Director of  World Food Programme (WFP) in Liberia. 

Ambassador Ren congratulated Mr. Diongue on taking office and introduced the positive progress of China-Liberia friendly pragmatic cooperation. He said that China is willing to carry out extensive cooperation with the United Nations and other international partners, and work together to promote peace, stability and economic and social development in Liberia.

Mr. Diongue said that international cooperation is crucial to Liberia's development, and he thanked China for its strong support for the food aid operations carried out by the WFP and other international humanitarian agencies in Liberia. WFP is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with China and jointly carry out relevant work well.
