Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets the Principal of Booker Washington Institute

On March 29, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Atty. Harris Fomba Tarnue, Principal & EO of Booker Washington Institute (BWI) in Liberia.

Ambassador Ren introduced the brilliant achievements of the Communist Party of China (CPC) since its founding 100 years ago, as well as the positive progress of China-Africa and China-Liberia friendly and pragmatic cooperation, and shared China's experience in economic and social development, poverty reduction, and state governance. Ambassador Ren emphasized that people-to-people and cultural exchanges are important means to deepen understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and China is ready to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with BWI.

Principal Tarnue expressed his heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Ren for personally attending the Institute's graduation ceremony on February 26 with a keynote speech and donating materials and funds, and commended the strong support and assistance provided by the Chinese government and people to the economic and social development of Liberia, and hoped to further deepen the friendly and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The two sides exchanged views in depth on strengthening China-Liberia cooperation in the areas of people-to-people and cultural exchanges, vocational education and training, etc.
