On April 28, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Ms. Ratidzai Ndhlovu, UNFPA Resident Representative in Liberia. Mr. Li  Jiang, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy was present. 

Ambassador Ren introduced the recent cooperation projects between the Chinese government and the World Food Programme, UNICEF and other institutions, as well as the achievements of the Chinese Agricultural Demonstration Center and the Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Project in Liberia. 

Ms. Ndhlovu thanked the Chinese government for its support to the work of the United Nations. The two sides exchanged views on pragmatic cooperation in the fields of population census and youth education and training. 

The day before, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Ms. Comfort Lamptey, the new Country Representative of UN Women in Liberia. The two sides exchanged views on Liberia's national conditions and pragmatic cooperation in the fields of women's cause, human rights, health, and poverty alleviation.
