On April 28, Mr. Li Mingxiang, Deputy Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), held a video call with Hon. Mulbah K. Morlu Jr., National Chairman of Liberia's Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)). Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng attended the meeting via video link.

Deputy Minister Li spoke positively of the relations between the two parties and the two countries and appreciated Liberia's firm adherence to the one-China principle. He expressed that the CPC is willing to consolidate and expand friendly exchanges with the CDC, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance, strengthen coordination and cooperation on international affairs, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and people-to-people exchanges, so as to better benefit the two peoples. Mr. Li shared the achievements and experience of the CPC on governing the country in the new era, saying that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, China is confident to win a new victory in building a modern socialist country in an all-round way.

Ambassador Ren said that the exchanges and cooperation between the ruling parties of China and Liberia are of great significance to the promotion of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries. In recent years, the two countries have achieved fruitful cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the "Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development". China is willing to work with Liberia to continue to strengthen inter-party exchanges, friendly and pragmatic cooperation between China and Liberia, and to continuously advance the building of a China-Liberia and China-Africa community with a shared future. 

Chairman Morlu expressed sincere admiration to the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and expressed that the CDC is willing to learn from the successful experience of the CPC in the fields of party building and poverty reduction in the new era, continuously enrich the connotation of the comprehensive cooperative partnership between Liberia and China, and join hands to build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future. 

After the meeting, Chairman Morlu and others collected the books titled "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" and "Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" prepared by the embassy, and shared their learning impressions with Ambassador Ren.
