On June 16, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Dr. Aliou Diongue, World Food Program (WFP) representative in Liberia. Mr. Li Jiang, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy was present. 

The two sides exchanged views on common concerns such as food, price, and energy security. Ambassador Ren fully affirmed the outcome of the two sides cooperation in providing emergency food aid to Liberia, and expressed that China is willing to carry out extensive cooperation with the United Nations and other international partners to promote Liberia's economic and social development.

Dr. Diongue introduced the program of Home-Grown School Feeding in Benin and wished to learn from it and carry out such tripartite cooperation in Liberia as well. Both parties agreed to maintain communication on relevant matters.
