On August 23, Ambassador Ren Yisheng met with Mr. Delvin Aaron, Chairman of the Liberian “Women Support Women” Initiative. Ambassador Ren expounded the importance of developing women’s cause and introduced China's economic and social development achievements. Ambassador Ren expressed that China will continue to walk hand in hand with the African people, firmly follow the path of mutual benefit and common development, and deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields with full play of the leading role of the FOCAC. China will vigorously implement the “Nine Programs” of the FOCAC by integrating the BRI, the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and the Global Security Initiative (GSI) closely with the AU Agenda 2063 and PAPD on the basis of equality and mutual respect, and jointly build a China-Africa and China-Liberia community with a shared future. 

Mr. Aaron thanked China for its long-term assistance and help to Liberia, admired the great achievements China has made over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, and said that Liberia wishes to learn from China's development philosophy and experience. He introduced the development history of the “Women Support Women” Initiative, and sincerely hoped that China would continue to give strong support to the Initiative in terms of human resources project assistance and other aspects.

The “Women Support Women” Initiative was launched by Liberian Vice President Howard-Taylor, aiming to carry out work such as the development of female human resources, education and training of female entrepreneurs.
