Chinese Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets Liberian House Representative

On August 31, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Hon. Mike Jurry, Representative of District 1, Maryland County of Liberia. The two sides exchanged views extensively on the domestic situation of Liberia, China-Liberia relations, pragmatic cooperation between the two countries and people-to-people and cultural exchanges. 

Ambassador Ren briefed the achievements and experience of China's economic and social development since the reform and opening up, and introduced the overall situation of China-Liberia pragmatic cooperation, especially the latest progress of key cooperation projects between the two countries recently. Ambassador Ren expressed that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Liberia in mining, fishery, infrastructure construction, health, education and other fields, and stressed that China will always adhere to the principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs, and cooperate with Liberia to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Rep. Jurry thanked the Chinese government and people for their great contribution to the economic and social development of Liberia, stressed that Liberia will firmly adhere to the one-China principle, and hoped to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields, especially in the field of education, to promote the sustainable development of China-Liberia friendship. He invited Ambassador Ren to visit Maryland County.
