On September 23, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held a ceremony to donate livelihood materials to the Liberia Police Academy Community. Ambassador Ren Yisheng attended and donated a batch of livelihood materials including solar street lights to the Police Academy Community on behalf of the Embassy. Mr. Nyumah A. Borbor, Community Chairman and others attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Ren said that China and Liberia are good friends and partners. The purpose of the Chinese Embassy to donate livelihood materials to the Community is to strengthen the infrastructure construction of grassroots communities in Liberia and enhance the friendship between the two peoples. Ambassador Ren introduced the great achievements China has made in economic and social development since the founding of the People's Republic of China, especially since the reform and opening up, the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the fruitful outcome of China-Africa, China-Liberia pragmatic and friendly cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

Mr. Borbor lauded the great achievements China has made in development, and sincerely thanked the Chinese embassy for the donation, saying that it fully reflects the friendship between the people of Liberia and China and the Community residents are willing to make positive contributions to the development of the long-term friendship between Liberia and China. Community representatives also presented a certificate of honor to Ambassador Ren.
