​Chinese Ambassador Ren Yisheng Attends Commencement Ceremony of Bomi Community College of Liberia Via Video

On September 24, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng delivered a video speech at the commencement ceremony of Bomi Community College (BCC) of Liberia.

Ambassador Ren elaborated on a series of development achievements China has made since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the upcoming 20th National Congress of the CPC to be held next month, and briefed the implementation of the “Nine Programs” of China-Africa cooperation as well as mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation outcome between China-Africa and China-Liberia under the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, the African Union's “Agenda 2063” and the “Pro-poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development” and other African development initiatives. Ambassador Ren pointed out that people-to-people and cultural exchanges are an important means to deepen the understanding and friendship between China and Liberia. In recent years, China has gradually expanded the scope of scholarship beneficiaries, and many Liberian students trained in China have played an important role in national development after returning to Liberia.

China is willing to work together with Bomi Community College to  strengthen pragmatic cooperation in education, cultural exchanges and other fields, and continuously promote the building of a China-Liberia community with a shared future.

President Gbatu of BCC thanked the Chinese government for its assistance and support for the development of Liberias higher education, and hoped that the two sides would further strengthen cooperation in the field of higher education.
