Chinese Ambassador Ren Yisheng Meets Leadership of Mandela Washington Fellows Liberia

On October 18, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Ms. Kaustella  Kialain  Sarsih, head of Mandela Washington Fellows Liberia delegation and Assistant Minister of Public Works of Liberia. The two sides exchanged views on issues of China-Liberia friendly cooperation, cultural exchanges and capacity building.

Ambassador Ren introduced the ongoing convention of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China's great achievements in poverty alleviation, green development and comprehensive deepening of reforms since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,and emphasized that the central task of the CPC from now on is to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups in the country to build a great modern socialist country in an all-round way. Ambassador Ren briefed on the achievements of China's aid projects in the fields of infrastructure, public health, training and agricultural development, and expressed his willingness to provide more help in the field of youth development.

Sarsih congratulated the convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, admired the achievements China has made in development, and said that China's development experience is an excellent example for the world. She and other members of the delegation raised questions about cooperation and aid in remote areas, women's empowerment development, agricultural product processing, scholarships and medical training, etc.  

Ambassador Ren answered their questions and presented the "Xi Jinping: The Governance of the Country" to the delegation, encouraging young people to work hard and explore a development path that suits Liberia's national conditions.
