On October 19, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Hon. Peter S. Bemah, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Liberia and Mr. Alieu Lee Kemokai, Director of the Monrovia Vocational Training Center. The two sides exchanged views on China-Liberia friendly cooperation, youth capacity building and vocational education and training.

Ambassador Ren introduced the ongoing 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the brilliant achievements of China's economic and social development in the new era, briefed on the new progress of friendly cooperation between China and Liberia in various fields, especially the achievements made by the Chinese aid projects in the fields of infrastructure, public health, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and vocational training, and expressed Chinese side’s willingness to provide more help in the construction of youth human resources.

Deputy Minister Bemah congratulated the convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, thanked China for providing assistance in the process of Liberia's economic and social development, and hoped to continue to maintain close cooperation in the promotion of youth human resources. Director Kemokai thanked the Chinese government for its strong support for the training center, and said that the Chinese government's assistance in the training center has enabled more Liberian youths to master and use vocational skills to change their life destiny. He hoped that the embassy will give more support in school building maintenance, teacher training and equipment tools.
