On November 3, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng was invited by the "Super Morning Show" program of Liberia Broadcasting System ELBC Radio to take a live interview on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between China and Liberia in various fields. 

Ambassador Ren said that the 20th National Congress of the CPC is an important conference held at a critical moment when China is embarking on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way and marching towards the second centenary goal. When delivering a report on behalf of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, General Secretary Xi Jinping comprehensively summed up the work of the past five years and the great changes in the new era in the past decade, clarified the mission and tasks of the CPC in the new journey of the new era, expounded on the Chinese characteristics and essential requirements of Chinese path to modernization, draws a grand blueprint for building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way, and points out the direction and action guide for China to achieve its second centenary goal. 

Ambassador Ren introduced China's achievements in economic and social development, poverty alleviation, ecological and environmental governance and protection in the past ten years in the new era, and publicized the foreign policy of a major country with Chinese characteristics, as well as the construction of the "Belt and Road"(B&R), "Global Development Initiative", " Global Security Initiative" and others. 

Ambassador Ren said that in recent years, China-Africa and China-Liberia mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation has focused on economic growth and development and strengthening human resource capacity to reduce poverty and ensure sustainable peace and security on the African continent by aligning the "B&R" Initiative and the FOCAC action plan with the African Union's "Agenda 2063", Liberia's "Pro-poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development" and other African development strategies. Today, the outcomes of China-Africa cooperation are all over the African continent. Roads, railways, airports, ports, high-rise buildings, stadiums and other structures built with Chinese aid can be seen everywhere.

Ambassador Ren comprehensively reviewed the fruitful outcomes of China-Liberia pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and said that standing at a new historical starting point, China is willing to continue to deepen friendly and pragmatic cooperation with Liberia to promote common development and bring more benefits to the two peoples based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. 

Ambassador Ren also answered questions from the host and audience on China-Liberia cooperation in such areas as infrastructure construction, agriculture, education, capacity building and etc., the Taiwan question, the international situation and multilateral human rights issue, and expounded China's relevant positions and views. Liberia media such as Liberia News Agency, the Analyst and the Inquirer newspapers covered or reported on the interview.
