On November 7, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Hon. Ansu Dao Sonii, Minister of Education and Hon. Wilhemina S. Jallah, Minister of Health of the Republic of Liberia. The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual concern such as aid projects, public health, education and cultural exchanges. 

Ambassador Ren briefed on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), introduced that nearly 100 countries supported China's position on Xinjiang-related issues through joint or individual statements at the 77th session of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly, and hoped that China and Liberia will actively promote friendly and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields including education, health, people-to-people and cultural exchanges on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

Minister Sonii and Minister Jallah thanked Ambassador Ren for the briefing of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and believed that China will surely achieve greater development achievements in the new era. Both of them thanked China for its long-term contributions to Liberia's economic and social development, education, and health, said that the scholarship program provided by the Chinese side has played an important role in cultivating talents in Liberia, and hoped to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
