On November 30, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Cllr. Sylvester D. Rennie, National President of Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) and others. The two sides exchanged views on issues such as China-Liberia relations, exchanges and cooperation in the judicial field, and unilateral sanctions. 

Ambassador Ren shared China's great achievements in the fields of deepening reform and opening up, poverty alleviation, green development and high technology in the new era as contained in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Ambassador Ren said that China is willing to work with African countries including Liberia to strengthen friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual respect. Ambassador Ren emphasized that China has always opposed unilateral sanctions. The lies of "genocide" and "forced labor" in Xinjiang spread by some Western countries on occasions such as UN human rights mechanisms are aimed at containing China and suppressing Xinjiang's cotton and photovoltaic industries, which are doomed to fail. Ambassador Ren congratulated the successful convening of the annual conference of the LNBA and expressed willingness to promote exchanges and cooperation in the judicial field between the two countries.

Cllr. Rennie and others congratulated the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, commended China's great achievements in the past decade, and thanked China for its selfless help to Liberia. They hoped that the Chinese embassy will assist the LNBA and the All China Lawyers Association to carry out exchanges and cooperation, and learn from China's experience in the construction of the rule of law.

Ambassador Ren presented "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" (Volume 4) to Cllr. Rennie.
