On December 21, Chinese ambassador to Liberia H.E. Ren Yisheng met with Hon. George Saigbe Boley, House  Representative of Grand Gedeh County. The two sides had friendly exchanges on Sino-Liberian relations, pragmatic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. 

Ambassador Ren briefed on the overall situation of China-Liberia pragmatic cooperation, especially the latest progress of key projects. He said that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Liberia in such fields as agriculture, forestry, fishery, and infrastructure on the basis of equality and mutual respect, and emphasized that China will always uphold the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and cooperate with the Liberian side for mutual benefit and win-win results.

Representative Boley thanked the Chinese government and people for their contributions to Liberia's economic and social development. He said that Liberia firmly adheres to the one-China principle and that Taiwan is a province of China. He hoped to further strengthen cooperation with China in various fields and promote the sustainable development of Liberia-China friendship.
