On February 28, 2023, Chargé d'affaires Mr. Xu Kun met with Liberian Foreign Minister Kemayah at an appointment to exchange views on China-Liberia relations, practical cooperation and other topics.

Minister Kemayah said that Liberia firmly adheres to the One-China principle and that the Liberian legislature has enacted the One-China principle as a law of Liberia, which reflects the importance the Liberian side attaches to the development of relations between the two countries, and hopes that China and Liberia will continue to move forward on the track of friendly development.

Mr. Xu kun said that China and Liberia are good brothers and friends, and China always attaches importance to the friendship with Liberia, hoping that both sides can contribute to the friendly political atmosphere between China and Liberia, and China is willing to continue to support the economic and social development of Liberia.
