Chargé d'Affaires Mr. Xu Kun met with Hon. Bhofal Chambers, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Liberia, on March 6, 2023 at an appointment. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.

Mr. Xu Kun briefed on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as well as the NPC&CPPCC Annual Sessions 2023, and spoke highly of the efforts made by the House of Liberia on the issue of adhering to the one-China principle. Mr. Xu said that China and Liberia had established traditional friendly relationships, and China has always regarded Liberia as a good brother and partner, and would continue to help the country's economic and social development in the future.

Hon. Bhofal Chambers warmly congratulated the opening of the NPC&CPPCC Annual Sessions 2023 and was happy to see there were numerous fruitful cooperation programs have been carried out these years. Hon. Bhofal Chambers expected that there would be more cooperation projects launched in the future and the legislative bodies of the two sides should further their exchanges so as to better the friendly relations between Liberia and China.
