On May 1, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held the friendship exchange reception of China-Africa student organizations. Hon. Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, Speaker of House of Representatives of Liberia, some representatives of the House of Representatives of Liberia, Hon. Mr. Gabriel H. Salee, Deputy Foreign Minister of Liberia, Hon. Ms. Charlyne A. Taylor, Assistant Foreign Minister of Liberia, Hon. Mr. Varney Alieu Jarsey, President of the All-African Students Union, Hon. Mr. Xu Hui, President of the All-China Students’ Federation, and representatives of China and Africa student organizations were present.

Ambassador Yin delivered a speech, saying that the exchange of young students between China and Africa has played an important role in the history of China-Africa relations. China is willing to work together with  All-African Students Union to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between young students from China, Africa and Liberia. It is hoped that young people from China and Africa will know more about each other and promote friendship between the two sides.

Hon.Speaker Koffa delivered a speech, thanking China for its assistance to Liberia and Africa’s economic and social development, emphasizing that youth exchanges are very important to enhancing Africa-China relations, and said that Africa and China can strengthen cooperation in agriculture, tourism and other fields to achieve economic transformation and common prosperity.

Mr.Sally, Mr.Jarsey, and Mr.Xu Hui delivered speeches one after another, expressing their efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between youth and student organizations of the two countries.
