On May24th, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, met with Dr. Aliou Diongue, the Representative of the World Food Programme. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening multilateral cooperation in the field of food.

Ambassador Yin briefed the achievements of China-Liberia cooperation and praised WFP’s contribution to improving food security and promoting agricultural development in Liberia. Yin also expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges with the WFP and jointly promote China-Liberia cooperation.

Diongue thanked China for its long-term support for Liberia’s development, and hoped to deepen cooperation with China in food and agriculture, improve the foundation for the development of Liberian agricultural sector and increase the productivity of agricultural production.
