Ambassador Yin Chengwu attends the Celebration of Africa Day of School Feeding

On May 30th, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, attendedthe 9th celebration of Africa Day of School Feeding  and delivered a speech in the presence of Hon. Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah,  Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, Minister of  Agriculture, and Dr. Aliou Diongue, the Representative of the World Food Programme, among others.

Yin said, the Africa Day of School Feeding was established to improve nutrition in schools, provide quality education and transform the education systemthrough the development of local agriculture. It will benefit the future development of the country. China and Liberia have fruitful and deep cooperation in education, agriculture and health.At  present, China-Liberia relations are entering a new stage under the  joint leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Boakai.The Chinese side is willing to help Liberia address food insecurityand improve the health of Liberian children. We will continue to promote China-Liberia relationsand jointly build a high level China-Africa community with a shared future.

Jallah,  Nuetah and others thanked the China for its contribution to the  improvement of school nutrition in Liberia, and said the Liberian  government will strive to promote the development of agriculture and  education, and call on all sectors of society to pay attention to the  health of schoolchildren and contribute to the school feeding.
