On July 4th, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, met with Hon. Gbeme Horace-Kollie, the Minister of Gender, Children And Social Protection. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of education for ‘vulnerable girls’.

Ambassador Yin briefed the China-Liberia relations and appriciated Ministry of Gender’s efforts in expanding girls’ access to education in Liberia. Yin also expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges with the Ministry of Gender and jointly promote cooperation in relevant fields.

Hon. Kollie thanked China for its long-term support for Liberia’s development, and hoped to deepen cooperation with China in eductaion, to increase female enrollment rates and bring more ‘vulnerable girls’ back to school.
