On October 25, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia attended the handover ceremony of China Aid Project of Liberia Mineral Resources Survey. H.E. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Wilmot J. M. Paye, Minister of Mines and Energy, totaling about 100 people attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Yin congratulated the successful completion of the project, noting that the project exemplifies China's friendly policy towards Liberia, contributes to the further development of Liberians resources and economic growth, and strengthens the strategic partnership between China and Liberia, fostering friendship between the two nations.

Vice President Koung and Minister Paye delivered speeches to thank China for its selfless dedication to Liberia’s mining sector, and thanked the project implementation consortium for overcoming difficulties to achieve successful results. They hoped to further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of mining.

Ambassador Yin and Minister Paye signed the Handover Certificate on behalf of the two governments.
