On February 14, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu attended and delivered a speech at a free medical consultation event organized by the 16th Chinese medical team. Hon. Jeror Cole Bangalu, Minister of Youth and Sports, representatives from the Confucius Institute, experts from the China-Aid Bamboo and Rattan Weaving and Vegetable Plantation project, and staff from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, along with over 100 participants, attended the event.

Yin highly commended the long-term medical services provided by the Chinese medical team in Liberia and expressed hope that this free clinic would contribute to the health of the employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He emphasized that China will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Liberia in the fields of youth affairs and healthcare, supporting Liberia’s overall development.

Hon. Bangalu thanked China for its enduring contributions to the health and well-being of Liberia and expressed appreciation to the Chinese medical team for their outreach to the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.  He pledged to solidify the friendship between China and Liberia and to continually promote bilateral relations.
