Li Keqiang Meets with Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On the afternoon of February 5, 2022, Premier Li Keqiang met with Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), who was on a visit to China to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Li Keqiang said, China and BiH have long developed friendly relations by acting on the principle of mutual respect and treating each other as equals. The cooperation between the two countries has complementary advantages and great potential. China is willing to maintain high-level exchanges with BiH, carry forward friendship, enhance mutual trust, consolidate the positive development momentum of bilateral relations, strive for new success in pragmatic cooperation, and keep enriching bilateral relations.

Li Keqiang pointed out, China stands ready to expand trade and investment cooperation with BiH, import more high-quality agricultural specialties from BiH, advance the implementation of cooperation projects in energy and infrastructure, continue to strengthen anti-pandemic cooperation, and provide assistance within its capacity for BiH in fighting the pandemic. Efforts should be made to strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so as to strengthen people-to-people bonds between the two countries.

Tegeltija wished the Chinese people a happy Spring Festival and extended congratulations on the successful opening of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. He said, BiH-China relations have developed smoothly, and BiH always pursues the one-China principle and holds that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. He expressed thanks to China for its selfless help for BiH in fighting the pandemic. BiH attaches great importance to China-CEEC cooperation and hopes to deepen cooperation with China in fields such as energy and transportation within this framework. Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and do business in BiH.
