On July 30, 2022 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev jointly met the press after their talks in Cholpon-Ata.

Wang Yi said, China-Kyrgyzstan relations have withstood the tests of trials and tribulations and gone through an extraordinary journey. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the two countries have become good neighbors, good friends, good partners and good brothers in a very real sense. There are no major differences or unresolved issues between the two countries. What the two sides should carry forward is a closer friendship, and what the two sides should strive for is more cooperation. Standing at a new historical starting point, China is ready to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to join hands with Kyrgyzstan to open up a brighter future for bilateral cooperation and deliver more benefits to the Chinese and Kyrgyz people. Wang Yi introduced the series of consensus reached by the two sides.

Both sides hold that efforts should be made to elevate the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level. With an eye to the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations in the next 30 years, the two countries decided to build a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, actively contributing the two countries' strength to the building of a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future and a community with a shared future for mankind.

Both sides hold that in the face of the current complex regional and international challenges, China and Kyrgyzstan should speed up the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative both put forward by President Xi Jinping, jointly promote stability and development of Central Asia, oppose stirring up turmoil and divisions in the region, adhere to true multilateralism, safeguard the basic norms governing international relations, and work with the rest of the international community to meet global challenges in solidarity.

Both sides agreed to further strengthen strategic coordination between the two countries. The two sides will continue to firmly support each other in safeguarding respective sovereignty, security and development interests, unswervingly back each other in following a path of development suited to respective national conditions, and resolutely oppose interference in their internal affairs by any external forces.

Both sides decided to accelerate high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. The two sides hold that the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is a strategic project of regional connectivity, and the time and conditions are becoming ripe for the launch of this important project. The first batch of Chinese experts have arrived in Kyrgyzstan recently and started the survey work, kicking off the construction process of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The two sides will also speed up major and livelihood projects in Kyrgyzstan such as canals and regional and municipal road networks, and open new border ports to facilitate the flow of people and freight. The two sides will foster new growth drivers such as ecological agriculture, e-commerce, cross-border payments and green energy, forge a "green Silk Road", and create a new pattern of common development.

Both sides agreed to vigorously carry forward the ever-lasting China-Kyrgyzstan friendship. The Chinese side will work for the early completion of the Luban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan, so as to train more excellent vocational and technical personnel for the development of Kyrgyzstan. The two sides also agreed to set up cultural centers in each other's country at an early date, and strengthen people-to-people ties to cement the social foundation and public support for the friendship between the two countries.
