On February 9, 2023, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi met at request with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn who accompanied Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen for the visit to China.

Wang Yi expressed that the China-Cambodia friendship has withstood the test of the changing international landscape, grown from strength to strength, and remained unbreakable. Prime Minister Hun Sen's visit to China three years ago and the visit this time show that China and Cambodia are indeed good friends helping each other in solidarity and good partners sharing weal and woe. China stands ready to work with Cambodia to take the China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new level, and jointly build a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.

Sokhonn said that China's success on fighting against the pandemic and afterwards rapid economic and social recovery brought significant benefits to countries in the region and the international community. Cambodia is ready to further strengthen cooperation with China in various fields and go deep in building the Cambodia-China community with a shared future.
