The Chinese Embassy in Liberia will upgrade the Chinese visa application system on 31 March 2025 and officially launch the Chinese visa online processing function, accessible at “https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/”. The specific application process is as follows:

1. The applicant registers an account with his/her personal email address, logs into the system, fills in the online application form and uploads the application materials.

2. After the online examination and approval, the applicant will come to the Embassy, present the barcode of the application form, submit the passport and other documents, and the fingerprints and other biological information will be collected on-site.

3. According to the information of the pick-up slip issued on-site, the applicant will come to the Embassy again on the day of pick-up to pay the visa fee and collect the passport and visa.

Starting from 7 April, the pre-upgraded Chinese visa application system will not be accessible. Applicants who have already submitted the application form in the pre-upgraded China Visa Application System can submit the application materials on-site at the Embassy in the original way from 31 March to 11 April, or they can also apply online through the upgraded system. Starting from 7 April, all applicants are required to submit the application form and upload the application materials through the upgraded China Visa Application System.
