At the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia, Hon. Gabriel Williams, Deputy Information Minister of Liberia gave a lecture to the Embassy staff on Liberia's political landscape last Thursday, January 17, 2008.

 

Mr. Williams recalled the founding of the first African republic, conflicts and integration between the Americo-Librians and natives, the civil war and its impact on Liberian politics, the vision of the Sirleaf Administration, etc. He also answered questions from the Embassy staff.

 

Mr. Williams is the author of The Heart of Darkness, an authentic book on the Liberia civil war.
