On November 24, Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the  Official Launch of the Resource Mobilization Strategy for Nutrition and made a remark. This event was also attended by Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, representatives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and other government agencies, as well as members of the diplomatic corps in Liberia.

Ambassador Yin outlined the contents with regard to food security in the “Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development”, spoke highly of the achievements of China–Liberia cooperation in the field of nutrition and health, and expressed China’s readiness to work with Liberia to actively implement the FOCAC Beijing Action Plan(2025-2027), supporting the continuous development of Liberia’s nutrition and health sector.

The Liberian side introduced the current nutritional and health conditions of women and children in the country, as well as the FY 2026 sectors budget allocation for nutrition & food security, and expressed appreciation for the support from the international community.
